Hatha yoga may be taught in many forms, Gita Yoga is but one of them. Designed to balance the endocrine glands (and corresponding Chakras), cleansing yourself from within naturally. I believe yoga can change the way you see yourself, your health and your mind. What we give, is what we receive – giving the gift of yoga to yourself is transformational on many levels.

Qualified in Melbourne at Gita International, an established Yoga Teaching School of 50 years I was privileged enough to complete the Teacher training in 2000/01. Requirements of training included personal practice daily for two years. Course content was intense but rewarding beyond belief. Being able to self heal is a birth right and available to all. On completion of the training I undertook classes for the elderly, pre-natal, post natal/babies, children’s, teenagers and the range of beginners through to average and advanced. I feel “at home” participating in and teaching yoga. Some of us are lucky enough to find our calling, I hope to continue teaching until I am 80!

Health, Acceptance, Joy, Respect, Self Responsibility – keys to good living. Ability to be clear minded, positive and filled with laughter, we can change our lives. Learned behaviours can be altered, new habits formed. In this fast paced 21 st Century we all need time to reflect, unwind and nurture self. Gita Yoga can offer you this opportunity, I would delight in helping to facilitate this to all who enter a yoga class, Gita style. All ages, stages and fitness levels can participate. Asanas (positions), Pranayama (breathing) and Relaxation are achievable no matter what place you are at. Peace, tranquillity and love can be experienced by everybody. Return to self, and therefore serenity.
